Loch Ness; Take two

Do you remember when I told you that I was going to run the Loch Ness Marathon in honour of Paul? And how after I ran it, I told you I was never going to run another marathon?

Well, I was wrong. In fact, I really wanted to do another one just moments after finishing the first. And that feeling never went away. It was just so exhilarating!

So, today I’ve finally signed up to run the Loch Ness Marathon for the second time. Oh yes, I have! Only this time I’m not running for Paul. This time I’m running for me!

What does this mean for you? Well, at the moment nothing other than the occasional mention of marathon training. And maybe later I’ll shout out for fundraising – if I can decide to do that. Which I’m thinking I might. So, I don’t know. Stay tuned for that.

In the meantime, however, feel free to give all of those “I told you so” comments for those who thought the marathon bug might take hold of my soul (and soles!). Because it has!

      1. Seriously?! You think you got your stubbornness from ONLY your paternal lineage? Take a closer look at your maternal line, too.

        1. I did think of my maternal line, but I have to admit that no matter how stubborn that is (and it’s really, really stubborn!) my paternal line just seems a bit more stubborn yet! (Just like my maternal line is more sarcastic than my paternal line, despite both having strong sarcastic currents!)
