Away with the fairies
Tucked away in the woods on the outskirts of Luss lays a little gem of a fairy trail. Or “faerie” as they decided to spell it. I love a bit of fun and whimsy, so when my friend suggested it as an outing during his visit, I was game!
We got to Luss in the late afternoon and the gift shop was closed by then. That meant we couldn’t get maps and would have to figure out where to find the fairies on our own. I hate to admit just how long it took us to find the start of the trail (which isn’t well-marked). And even once we found the trail, we got off course quite easily as there were other paths in the vicinity with weird and wonderful whimsies.
I would also like to state that, had we gone the way I suggested, we would have not only managed the entire trail, but we would have managed to enter each site in the correct direction for the motion sensors. However, we would have missed out on the non-fairy whimsies found on the little side quest. So… we’ll call it a draw.
I really enjoyed the visit, and I think I would happily go again if I were in the area. It would be especially fun to go with kids!
There’s not much more to say about it, as this post is really just an excuse for me to share my photos. I hope you enjoy them.
