Radio silence

OK, folks, this is it. I’m moving over to a self-hosted platform and won’t be able to post anything for a 24-hour period beginning at 12:01 am tomorrow. (Yes, that means Thursday, May 5.)

This means I need to do two things:

1. Give a reminder about the loss of subscriptions
2. Figure out what to do in between now and the migration completion

First, the reminder:
If you are a subscriber now, you won’t be one after the server changes happen unless you tell me you want to be! To make sure you don’t miss out, please send me a message by using the contact form, commenting on this post, or sending me a personal email. If you’re not a subscriber yet but want to be, you can let me know by doing the same thing!

Second, the figuring:
Let’s see, there are books and movies and handbags to sort through for selling. There are clothes to sort through for Goodwill-ing. There are files to shred and magazines to recycle. The lawn needs mowing, photos need scanning, and scholarship applications need filling in. But then, there’s also a couch that looks awfully lonely and a book that looks in desperate need of a bit of fondling… I’m sure with all of those things I’ll find something to occupy my time!

So, that’s me signing off. But just because I can’t post, doesn’t mean you can’t read. Just know that if the site looks broken at any point in the next 24 hours, it’s OK!
