Ripples
So, this is my foster daughter’s Christmas present. Not for next Christmas but for the one just past. Can you believe that I’m still working on it? I seem to be a bit slow in making these ripples.
The good thing is that now that she knows I’m making it, I can stitch when she’s still awake. The bad thing is that I haven’t felt the urge to stitch the past few weeks.
I think I’m about a quarter of the way done, which means I’d best get hooking!
It’s STUNNING!
Beautiful! I want one, too!
I’m working on a queen-sized one with my left-over scraps. You can have it when (if?) I ever finish it, but it’s not going to be pretty. Maybe one day I’ll make you your very own in blue, too!
It’s beautiful. She will love it when it’s done. I can’t remember the number of times I’ve had to present late home made gifts because they’re just not done in time. Last Christmas (09) I was still crocheting big sis’ jumper on the plane on the way across to Canada!
And I know what you mean about not always feeling like it – I get like that too sometimes. Don’t force it or you’ll end up resenting the gift. I’m sure the Kid will far prefer something made with love than something that has a feeling of obligation running through it, even if that means waiting a bit longer.
At least that’s my line and i’m sticking with it!!
the best gifts are worth waiting for 🙂
I’ve managed to hook nearly two skeins today. I wish I could keep that speed all the time. I’m hoping to have it done before Easter…
