For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to be a writer. In fact, I’ve already written a couple of books and have several books in various stages of planning and completion. But if I’m ever going to actually publish something (other than minor free-lance newspaper stuff, which doesn’t count) then I need to get busy and get organized!
Goal #3: To publish a book
- Review current collection of drafts, idea boards, character lists and descriptions, and plot summaries [IN PROGRESS]
- Determine viability of current works
- Research literary agents
- Determine viability of existing materials to be used as short stories or serial pieces
- Begin concentrating on no more than 2-3 pieces
- Research possible avenues for submitting short stories to magazines
- Research e-publishing
- Research vanity publishers
